🌌 The Galaxy View
The main canvas is a live force-directed graph. Nodes repel each other and edges pull connected nodes together — the layout is always settling into balance. Scroll to zoom, drag the background to pan, and drag a node to reposition it. Double-click any node to open its detail panel.
🔵 Info Nodes — Cyan
Info nodes hold facts, context, and references. Use them for background knowledge, Wikipedia links, research findings, or any piece of information relevant to your workspace. They connect to Issues (providing context) and Ideas (providing evidence).
🟡 Issue Nodes — Amber
Issue nodes describe problems. Set a severity (Low / Medium / High / Critical) to indicate urgency. Pin an issue to a location on the world map — useful for civic or geographic problems. Toggle Global issue if it affects everyone everywhere. Connect issues to info nodes for context and idea nodes for solutions.
✦ Idea Nodes — Multicolour
Idea nodes are the synthesis layer — where information and issues become action. Each idea node has a full Kanban workspace (Backlog → In Progress → Review → Done). Drag cards between columns. Add deadlines. Assign members. Ideas are the largest nodes and pulse with rings to indicate their central role.
🔗 Linking Nodes
Click LINK in the toolbar to enter link mode. Click a source node, then click a target node — an edge is created between them. The edge glows with the colours of the nodes it connects. Click LINK again or press Escape to exit link mode. You can also connect nodes when creating a new node using the connections picker.
📋 Side Panel Tabs
DETAILS — description, tags, severity, and link. Edit or delete the node here.
REFERENCES — add URLs with labels and descriptions. URL previews are fetched automatically.
CONNECTIONS — see all connected nodes. Click one to fly to it on the canvas.
LOCATION — (Issue only) shows a map embed if a location was pinned.
WORKSPACE — (Idea only) Kanban board summary and full workspace button.
SHARE — (Idea only) generate a shareable link to this node.
ACTIVITY — timestamped log of all changes to this node.
📡 Activity Feed
Click FEED in the toolbar to open the activity drawer. This shows recent changes across all nodes in the instance — who added what, when. Click any feed item to fly to that node on the canvas.
🔍 Search
The search bar at the top searches across node names and descriptions. Results appear as you type — click one to fly to it on the canvas and select it.
👥 Instances & Collaboration
An instance is a shared workspace. Each instance has a unique 8-character join code — share this with collaborators and they can join from the instance picker. Roles: Owner has full control including delete. Admin can manage members. Member can create and edit nodes. Viewer can only read. Manage roles in ⚙ Settings → Members.

Double-click node — open side panel
Scroll — zoom in/out
Drag background — pan the view
Drag node — reposition it
Escape — close any modal or exit link mode
RESET button — return to centre at zoom 1×
